The Theater and Poetry Project: A Language Arts Partnerships is a collaboration with the Paterson Public Schools benefiting Paterson children. Professional theatrical productions of both classic children’s stories and multi-cultural fare, music and dance programs are presented to Paterson students in the Passaic County Community College’s theater free of charge. This project also tries to bring a sense of excitement to reading and writing by sending professional poets and authors into the schools to conduct writing workshops and Meet - the-Author sessions. There is an annual poetry contest for Paterson students, winners of which are awarded savings bonds and their poems are published in an annual anthology.
