Founded in 1968, Passaic County Community College’s main campus is located in the city of Paterson, New Jersey, ten miles west of New York City.   • PROGRAMMER / ANALYST

    We are seeking an experienced professional to design, implement, and maintain programming codes and queries in support of the college's student information system. Candidates should have at least three years of related work experience. Strong programming skills in Pick, UniData, Uni Verse, or other MultiValue (Pick-related) database systems in a UNIX environment required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is also required for this position. Experience with administrative applications (Datatel COLLEAGUE) in a college setting is highly desireable. Work experience with Safari Tools, Microsoft Office products, Internet and web applications is preferred. This is a service-oriented position and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary. Some evening and weekend work required; excellent opportunity for technical and career growth is provided with this position.


  • REGISTRAR

    An energetic, well-organized administrator is needed to direct operations related to records management, class scheduling, degree auditing, graduation verification, and the issuance of academic transcripts. Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management, the Registrar works closely with various offices to plan and conduct all of the activities associated with registration of new and continuing students. The successful candidate will be expected to operate the student information system to provide enrollment data and reports in support of enrollment management activities. Requirements: A Master's degree, with at least five years of relevant work in college registration, including supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of current FERPA guidelines, as well as hands-on ability to work with a computerized student information system (preferably Datatel) also required.


  • STUDENT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (BILINGUAL) - Search extended

    The Student Development Specialist will assist with the planning, development and implementation of student development initiatives, including academic advisement, career and transfer planning. A Master's degree in Student Development, Counseling, Education, or related field and bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are required. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is also required.


  • COORDINATOR OF BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

    Full-time administrative position to supervise, direct, and evaluate the activities of custodial employees. He or she will oversee the College's physical facilities and grounds to maintain clean and safe conditions and efficient operations. The Coordinator will also generate reports and work orders, maintain records, and coordinate snow removal activities. A Bachelor's degree or three years of work experience with the supervision of custodial staff are required.


  • ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF GRANTS & INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

    A full-time administrator is needed to assist with all aspects of grant development and institutional fund-raising. He or she will work with college faculty, staff, and community partners to plan and prepare proposals for federal, state. and private funding sources. The Assistant Director will also: conduct extensive research to identify public and private giving opportunities and share funding research with campus and community constituents; provide faculty and staff training in grants development and grants management; and assist with the development and implementation of an individual, corporate, and foundation giving program. A Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. At least three years of successful program planning and grants writing experience also required.

    Teach in the following areas, beginning January 23rd

    • English: Public Speaking, Reading, Writing, Critical Thinking

    • English as a Second Language: all levels, day & evening. A Master's degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics is required for the ESL positions.

    • Mathematics: all levels, day schedule

    • Humanities: Art, History, Psychology, day schedule for all

    • Science: Meteorology

    • Business: Real Estate (NJ State & RE Commission licensed), on Wednesday evening and Saturday

    • American Sign Language: A Master's degree in Interpreting, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or Social Sciences is preferred; a Bachelor's degree in those areas along with ASL certification will be considered.

    A Master's degree in the appropriate discipline and teaching experience are required for all adjunct positions, with community college teaching preferred, unless otherwise noted above. Additional experience in any of the following areas is desired: computer-aided instruction, interactive video, and internet course delivery. Please specify which courses you are prepared to teach.


  • ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, TITLE V

    The College requires a full-time Administrative Assistant to support key project staff in implementing a project to improve student learning through a college-wide writing initiative and student writing center. The sucessful candidate must possess an Associate's degree and two years of related work experience, preferably in an educational setting. He or she must also possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. The position is grant funded.


  • WRITING CENTER COORDINATOR

    A full-time Writing Center Coordinator is needed to develop a vibrant college writing center and oversee its day-to-day operations. The Coordinator will implement services for faculty and students, including faculty professional development workshops and student tutoring. A Master's degree is required, with a minimum of three years administrative or teaching experience in higher education. The position is grant-funded.


  • COORDINATOR OF ENROLLMENT SERVICES TECHNOLOGY - Search extended

    Full-time administrative position to provide technical support to PCCC's Division of Enrollment Management. The candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of records in our student information system and support a variety of related applications including records scanning/imaging systems, student mailings and communication processes, and web-based applications. He or she will also assist and train staff; serve as the liaison to our Information Technology department; and ensure data accuracy and integrity. A Bachelor's degree in a technology related field is required; Master's degree preferred. At least three years of work experience with database integration and reporting is required. Higher education experience with an integrated student information system, preferably Datatel, strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will also possess strong computer query languages, Unidata, Microsoft Office, web-based skills and knowledge of scanning/imaging software and hardware.


  • PAYROLL CLERK

    A part-time payroll clerk is needed to assist the Payroll Manager with the processing of a bi-weekly payroll for college employees, to work flexible daytime hours. Three years of payroll work experience with ADP PC payroll for windows version 5.1 is preferred. The individual will be responsible for processing timesheets, entering payroll data, and filing.

    Part-Time Clinical Adjunct Instructors - Days or Evenings
    Positions available in Med/Surg, Pediatrics, Mental Health, and Maternal Child

    Position requires current New Jersey RN lisence, Master's Degree in Nursing, and current clinical practice. Teaching experience preferred.


    Patient Care Assistant Program - Part-time Instructors - Immediate Opening

    Responsible for classroom and clinical teaching in program designed to prepare students to function in the role of Patient Care Assistants in the acute care hospital setting.

    Position requires current NJ RN license, BSN, and recent clinical experience. Teaching experience preferred.


    Part-Time Nursing Laboratory Coordinator - Days or Evenings

    Provide instruction and supervision in clinical skills for nursing students in the clinical skills lab. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.

    Current New Jersey RN, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing , and current clinical practice required.


  • STAFF ASSISTANT - ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT

    A full-time support staff person is needed to provide direct service and information to students applying for, or interested in, our financial aid programs. He or she will perform a variety of duties, including: providing correct information about the financial aid process; answering general questions about financial aid; accessing information on student accounts; and handling telephone communication. The primary role of the Staff Assistant is to maintain positive student relationships and ensure that student needs are met and exceeded on a regular basis. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities. He or she will also need to be outgoing, personable, a good listener, and a team player. An Associate’s degree and work experience including customer service and computer operation are required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are also required. Some evening and weekends required.


  • COORDINATOR – UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM

    We a seeking a full-time grant-funded administrator to assist in the planning, implementation, and management of the College’s Upward Bound Program. This individual will provide a variety of duties, including: student recruitment, implementation of weekday and Saturday schedules, liaison with target schools, and maintaining a database of current students and alumni. He or she will also contribute to the writing of program reports and grant proposals, maintain and/or establish and document contact with school guidance counselors, and maintain program records. A Master’s degree in Education Administration, Counseling, Social Work, or related field is required. The Coordinator must also have work experience with low income, first-generation students, and state or federal grant programs. Some evening and weekend hours will be performed by the Coordinator.


  • WEB CONTENT EDITOR

    We are seeking a part-time Web Content Editor to oversee the development of written content on web projects. A Bachelor’s degree and five years of related work experience (editing, journalism, copywriting, marketing) are required. Experience with web design, multimedia applications, information architecture, content strategy, taxonomies, and metadata preferred.   • FINANCIAL AID OFFICER

    Reporting to the director of Financial Aid, this individual will perform administrative duties related to the processing of all major federal/state financial aid programs and scholarships. A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and one year of higher education work experience, preferably in a financial aid office, are required. The successful candidate must also possess strong computer skills using Microsoft Office suite and an integrated student information system, preferably Datatel. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills and work experience with a records imaging system are also preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Some evening and weekend work will be performed by the Financial Aid Officer.
